My Background
Im John V, of Lynden WA. about 5 min. from the canadian border, I have many hobbies unfortunately, its very hard to split
the $$ multiple ways. I have a '85 mustang that has a 550hp small block and is a street driven race car, thus my avatar pic,
I race it during race season and at this time it is a upper 10 second car, all naturally asparated. Another hobby is my firearms,
but thats another story. I also ride dirt bikes and have had quads. And we have R/C, started with my brother about 12-13 years
ago, got a small .049 plane with two channels and we set out to learn to do it, we both did. Then we got more planes, and
more planes, then got into cars. But always dreamed of the big boy toys, jets and helicopters.
Well, my brother and I
got out of it when we turned 16 and got into cars and trucks, real ones. About 5 or so years ago got back into RC, broke out
the old trainers to realize I didnt forget a whole lot, got my first heli, a schluter miniboy, which taught me how to hover.
Then went heli crazy and have had 6 or 7 different ones in the last few years, now have a raptor and a XCell60, I can do 3d
and have never crashed to dumb thumbs thanks to sims. Then got a ducted fan RTF for a song and dance, flew it and got hooked
a year ago, now I have a Jetcatp80 tubine along with a new Jet aircraft to stuff it into, the TGA topcat. And I have a bunch
of planes yet, about 12 or so, most rtf but some needing a little work. Favorites would be my F20 propjet by direct connection,
and my Sig SE, and my Goldberg Super chipmunk with a G90 Super tiger. Holy cow that was long, sorry about that!!
